I've been an investor for 8 years now. They were selling to Indian cell phone companies.
I like the technology and hydrogen generally of all free fuels.
Invested in other companies and watching more like hypersolar for technology or commercial breakthroughs.
Walmart first D.C. (Distribution center) was I think installed in 2012 after a year of comparison they started the pitch to the board to make a commitment and negotiated hard withPLUG leading to the 2014 contract that at the time was a big loss leader, but gave them the base roll out numbers to invest in product refinement to reduce costs.
The purchase of ReLion was key to get supply in house not from Ballard.
I'm a product marketeer at heart so understand how to "cross the chasm" and exploit market leadership like oracle and intel have.
Plug is suffering for the last 3 years from misinformed shorts who listened to Andy in 2013 promise profitability the next year and missed the set it straight vision in 2014 when he expanded from fuel cell supplier to total solution provider. This year he starts making hydrogen as well as everything it touches

Answering a few of your specifics.
A leader certainly has to make a loss in the early adopter phase of a new market. It's basic marketing. Having secured the market leaders in distribution though should bring second tier retailers and it has, Walmart is world number one and has brought Home Depot and may be target (not convinced amazon is signed up for forklifts may be agv's).
My numbers show how a 50m quarter will be profitable (non GAAP) 30-35m if Walmart is at 2016 rates.
Plug has 14000 electric vehicles it is not only powering but servicing and supplying hydrogen. More than Toyota Honda or any other electric vehicle supplier may be Tesla has overtaken them I'm not sure.
They have started making hydrogen with the first reformers installed
for FedEx or for hubs where a cluster of customers exist. I thin New York State is getting one for FedEx range extenders

You're asking too many intelligent questions for this PLUG board. The people invested in PLUG here are cheerleaders, not investors. SHORT PLUG
