No the most valuable asset by far was the secret catalyst that Bordynuik discovered while converting someone else's tape data. That was the entire value proposition for the process since normal pyrolysis has been around for a century. The secret catalyst is what made the process efficient (profitable).
And then we found out from his deposition that he retained ownership of it - the company never owned it to begin with. Now we're supposed to believe the catalyst never mattered.
In other words, Bordynuik has always believed that his shareholders are very, very stupid.
