That's why i have money in both.
I doubt we can displace ILMN entirely for a number of reasons;
But i think we can elbow a nice, profitable niche for ourselves.
All bets are off if one company or the other manages a startling tech advance.
For example, if PACB manages to dramatically cut both speed and costs enough to beat the pants off ILMN, then it's a whole new ball game.
Or if ILMN figures out how to accurately cover the gaps without slowing down, then we are in real trouble.
Both outfits just introduced new processor types so i don't thing radical change is coming from either one for a while.
