At this point those sellers are going to have to chase. Why would anyone hold just to sell before a run? It happens all the time. You can't force people to make money. Usually market makers scare out those last people by bringing the price down before a run, I don't think it was even them this time. It was probably just 1 person selling at first and a few more thought they could make a few bucks before the run. That's a big gamble this close.
