The treatment shows promise in cancers that current therapeutic options for are somewhat dismal, especially the glios (brain) cancers. The studies may show better, worse or no efficacy but the prospects are truly exciting and offer the possibility of fewer side effects to boot. We are not talking about rare or unusual cancers. Even if the result is incremental improvement with fewer side effects it will be a home run. Longer mean survival times or the occasional cure even better.
