I'm not too sure why they'd buy them other than to take away the stream of patients from other LPS. If enough doctors are using these stores you also take away doctors from other LPS. Like D the other poster was saying they don't look like storefronts being inside multilevel buildings. Who knows. I think Aph just bought up some as well earlier this year and Canopy bought up some in 2015. Smart to get this deal done before the merger, Canopy has done too many deals of late with their own stock. As for how profitable storefronts are read this, they are very profitable but not apply store worthy

I don't know either, doesn't help in the rec market, I did get a prescription before from their barrie office and there was a lot of metrum advertising in it. I assume they can use as many medical clients possible for profit until rec comes 1+ years away still

A couple of thoughts re LP's and store fronts

Linton (and the industry as a whole) are probably well tied into the gov't people that are defining the process after the TF recommendations. So he may be aware that storefronts might be in the discussion and he's staking his ground.

Re profitability: Apple's spot at the top of the list is because of several factors - popular hi demand products and obscene margins. As much as we SHs would like to dream that is so with MJ, I don't see it.

Yes, rec will make it popular but lets be realistic. And margins aren't there. We all hear the hand-wringing about CGC being a high cost producer. And anyway, if margins get to be so damn big the criminal element will stay in the market and siphon off business

Each Apple Store, on average, makes about $4,799 per square foot, a recent report finds. The average marijuana dispensary brings in $974 per square foot, besting Whole Foods' average $930 in revenue per square foot.
