When ABT first goes public with any positive news, the milestone would be triggered. They could say they are still working on its feasibility but that would not help BOCX and would just be redundant. My guess is the next need for a positive press release would be to initiate trials. At that point, the test could only be about 18 months or less from approval. On the other hand, it costs them nothing to wait and say "no" in December of 2007 when the advanced royalty payment would be due.
