Market makers probably do signal each other like this, but you can find lots of theoretical lists of what the signals mean. Previously, I have seen a list that indicated 911 meant, "I need more shares," not 100.
Of course, there is this thing called a telephone, and I've heard that some people use that device to speak directly to each other to convey thoughts, needs and willingness to trade.
