I agree.

However, the statute of limitations doesn't start to run until a determination of wrongdoing. Because there hasn't been any determination of fraud yet (nothing to base charges on), the statute hasn't started running yet. The same is true for a tortious fraud claim.

We can thank the government for keeping all the evidence privileged for that.
