I am enjoying the major snowfall going on. Three feet in two days, with more to come after this -10 break between dumps. Not typical for this part of california, but hey, today I saw a cool thing.

There are a lot of roofs on carports etc. that are way past their snow loads here and I saw several inmate crews out shoveling roofs. They are mostly inner city non-violent offenders that have never seen snow. They were bundled up under oversized orange jumpsuits but they were busting ass to shovel out fire hydrants and generally trying to stay warm. Thank goodness for slave labor in the 21st century.
