Seen it happen too often to be a coincidence.

They see all the stop loss orders and inform short groups where they are going to drive the share price to so they know when to cover.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Float has turned over how many times since the Novartis deal was announced? MMs have inventory issues that they need to work out.
