Nick, Large share trades at the end of day, most often After Hours, have been happening quite often for many months. I have been trying to see a pattern but haven't really charted them.

Posters have often stated these large, late trades were insiders dumping. This is not true as the trades have never been posted on the SEC.

I think it is possibly the MM's may be short shares and are picking up cheap shares for the following day's trading, as these buys are usually at or even lower then the bid. I was told one time that the MM's could pass shares to one another MM this way. But, I don't really know, except that this has been happening for many months.....

I don't think you will see loading up for the dividend until the week of the count. That's what happened the last several established dates that later fell through. IMO
