SunnComm Announces Revolutionary New Hybrid DVD/CD Entertainment Technology

PHOENIX, Sept. 7, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- SunnComm International (Other OTC:SCMI.PK - News), creator of MediaMax(TM) enhancement and content protection technology, is pleased to introduce an innovative new patent-pending technology dubbed ``DVCD(TM)' that builds upon several current features within SunnComm's MediaMax product.
``The widespread use of MediaMax on commercial music CDs from the world's top-selling artists is a testament to the acceptance of our technology by the entertainment industry as well as CD buyers,' declared Peter Jacobs, president of SunnComm. ``Building on that leadership position, SunnComm has developed a pioneering new format called DVCD (DVD+CD).

``This extraordinary new commercial home entertainment product and technological breakthrough will give the record labels and their artists, movie and TV studios, concert producers, music video directors and home entertainment distributors added opportunities when vying for the consumers' entertainment dollar. DVCD, developed by SunnComm International, is currently undergoing testing and will allow DVD authors to include full-fidelity CD music and other related video and graphic digital content within their DVD projects or titles without requiring the more expensive alternatives such as DualDisc(TM), DVDPlus technology or the need to include an additional physical CD in the package along with the DVD.'

Jacobs continued, ``DVCD allows buyers to listen to CD content included within the DVD just as if they had an actual CD inserted into their computer. The product includes SunnComm's SecureBurn(TM), which allows users to legally burn a protected and enhanced music CD on their PC or Mac directly from a menu included on their DVD. Consumers can also choose to transfer the CD content to compliant portable digital devices.

``This breakthrough format further demonstrates SunnComm's creativity and ability to successfully address the needs of the home entertainment industry as well as those growing demands and increased expectations of the consumer. The potential for this product is tremendous. Retail DVD sales were $15.5 billion in 2004 according to Adams Media Research and by next year, it is estimated that the studios will derive more revenue from DVD sales than they will from all other sources: theatrical, rentals, and other.'

The CD content stored using the DVCD format can include movie soundtracks and other bonus music, video or audio content. Because this information is stored on the DVD as an encrypted binary collection of data, it is extremely secure.

SunnComm and MediaMax Technology (OTC BB:MMXT.OB - News), the company's exclusive marketing and sales agent, are working diligently with several of the largest record labels and major movie studios' home entertainment units in the world to help them create a greater demand for physical retail home entertainment products without increasing the costs to do so. SunnComm is helping home entertainment companies arrive at a balance between protecting the rights of the artists, music producers and record labels while providing CD buyers with an expanded multimedia experience. The DVCD product is SunnComm's next logical step -- the content protection and feature expansion of other popular digital optical formats such as DVD in its current and future formats.

SunnComm Moves Beyond CD Copy Protection

SunnComm Plans Introduction of Newest Products

PHOENIX, AZ--(MARKET WIRE)--May 8, 2006 -- SunnComm International Inc. (Other OTC:SCMI.PK - News), the maker of MediaMax, announced today that it is set to deliver an array of new products, many of which have been created in consultation with the Company's major customers and industry contacts. Several of these new products have already been presented to several customers and prospects.
All of the new product offerings are related to the enhancement of entertainment and other digital content. They include a music and video download product, a digital content inter-operability component, and an interactive online entertainment offering.

SunnComm's new product innovations come at a time when it has successfully slashed its operating budget. Peter H. Jacobs, president and CEO of SunnComm, comments, "Several months ago, SunnComm's executive staff voluntarily deferred 50% of their salaries for an indefinite amount of time. The resulting savings, in addition to cost-saving implementations across many operational areas, amount to more than 30% reduction of its operating expenses. The willingness of our staff to conserve resources at this critical time of development and growth speaks volumes about their dedication to the Company's business plan."

Peter continues, "Industry events beginning last November surrounding CD copy protection have provided an unprecedented opportunity for SunnComm to concentrate on (and expand) to other commercially viable digital and optical media products that had been overshadowed by CD copy protection in the past. While related directly to many of the same entertainment media formats as past products, these new offerings do not include a copy protection component, but instead, these enabling technologies are designed to expand a user's experience.

"It is important to note that SunnComm remains committed to the MediaMax CD enhancement and copy protection technology. Copy protection initiatives outside the U.S. remain strong and represent about 60% of total sales. After becoming the most scrutinized copy protection software in the U.S. with no known security vulnerabilities, SunnComm is in a perfect position to capitalize on several of those international markets. Before the close of this year, SunnComm intends to make its new, consumer-friendly MediaMax 6.0 CD copy protection product the #1 choice of record labels throughout the world."
