Given his commentary, amongst other factors, I tend to agree that his confirmation will be a net positive. However I look at the last goldmanite to hold the treasury secretary's position and he's the one that created this 'opportunity'.
So it is a little bit of a question to my mind where his loyalties will ultimately lie...

He also was a mucky muck in companies that foreclosed with little mercy on thousands of homes (and then sold that company and eventually walked away with say one billion while others lost their houses/homes)
That will be brought up at the hearings - just reality that it will smell bad
