"The Obama admin. cares about the docs, not the Trump admin. The docs will show that the Obama admin knew of the profitability and thus enacted the illegal NWS. Trump will use these docs as leverage over democrats. They can and will settle with the majors. "

You are wrong. Again, as it's been said many times before, per Nixon vs. Administration of General Services, Trump can not use the documents as leverage over the democrats or share any of the documents with any member of his cabinet. Only the Obama Administration can allow release of the documents without a court order.

"Trump can ask for Watt's resignation if he will not follow the wishes of Treasury. If you think that Watt will remain if Trump wants him gone, you're not thinking clearly."

You are wrong about this as well. Watt does not report to the Treasury and it is DEFINITELY within Watt's role as Director of FHFA to act against the wishes of the Treasury. Watt does not report to Trump either and if Trump wants him gone, he will need to wait about 4 years and Watt will be gone. Or he can try to find some fraud or crime that Watt has committed and ask Congress to remove him for cause.

"Back dividends, punitive damages are loser suits."

I agree. Though punitive damages are not impossible if fraud is found. back dividends are nearly impossible to win.

"The admin will settle with the key litigants and probably look to appease the smaller if possible, but don't think for a minute that if some smaller players want to go for broke trying to win punitive damages, back dividends, etc. that this will hold up the admin. plan to move forward. "

Highly unlikely for the reasons previously stated.

"$20 - $25 pps means the majority of suits are gone. Trying to fight the original agreement goes nowhere. "

Unfortunately, a settlement is highly unlikely.
