I would guess that many of the shorts in the 25M are in somewhere in the 20s which is why we haven't seen a massive exit of their positions.

This last sentence bothers me the most:

"Denner would be a threat to someone holding a short position. The better that Denner and Ariad do, the more money you lose. So shorts are probably not to happy with Denner, and the success he is bringing to the company. If I were and entrenched and highly exposed short, I too would seek to destroy Denner and, by extension, the company."
