Long. Yep, I would have to agree with you. All they deal with is keeping the shelves stocked. Although I think, they would move a lot of product…but more on price point and not the high-end stuff.

However, with that said…they have begun to hire sommelier’s (at least this is what they call them in restaurants, not sure about big box stores?) at some stores. If they are hiring wine experts, maybe electronics might be next.

Costco is a retailer similar to Wal-Mart, and therefore, don't expect results too disimilar to Wal-mart. They also are know to squeeze suppliers margins pretty well so a Costco deal may not be the company saver that SLS needs. If it did not work at Wal-Mart why would one expect it to work at Costco? or Sams for that matter?

Cutting a deal with Costco or Circut City would seem to be a huge contradiction to what JG claims to be touting as the core focus, and any stock rally on such news will likely be more shortlived than the BBY rally some time ago. If it did not work at BBY, why will it work at Circuit City? The reason it may have failed at Best Buy is brand name recognition. It takes a lot of money and time to get that. Regardless of how much money you may be plunking down, people still shy away from uncertainty, and that means brand names that do not have brand awareness yet.

I have visited Costco @ Orange County, Seattle, Kirkland, Issaquah & 3 of the 4 in Hawaii.
I always spend a lot of time in the electronics dept. and question them on their latest cameras, TVs, computers, accessories, gizmos, etc. and am always pleased with the knowledge of the salesreps. Again, less selection to choose from.
Not a pumper, just my experience.
My experiences have been hit or miss with Best Buy & Circuit City. They do carry a lot to keep track of.
