I think a rejection of the 40% premium without another offer in place would be perceived as detrimental and would have a negative impact on the value of the company compared to if there was no deal at all. I don't think a failed deal would 'wake-up' the market so to speak because some people view the company as undervalued. I think MT needs CGCs resources to realize its full value.
