#25367 RE: dranesthesia1 #25366

I wish that I knew what the price of the patch will be. Based on the initial production 10,000 patches and the cost of $25,000, I'd figure $2.50 profit per patch was the minimum profit. Anyway, a patient needing constant pain treatment via patch would use 90 patches a year. So, targeting this category of patient makes sense especially if the patient relies on opiods for pain relief. I think the groups that LaBorde already has connections with are a good starting point. The company already has some testimonials but structured tests, which may have been done already, could get published in a medical publication. AARP is rather expensive for print ads but cost/benefit might show that it's worth it. The internet site is another avenue but the company really needs some links on other sites to move the product faster. Amazon has already been mentioned and, yes, that is a must.

Remember that for a certain segment of the population this is not like a cold medicine that you take occasionally. The patch would be a daily treatment.

5000 patients at 90 patches a year at $2.50 profit per patch is $1,125,000 a year. I think the patch should be an easy sell for certain categories of patients, so I'm optimistic.
