Taking down weed (something he probably did like most kids in school growing up) never was his main goal in destroying that. Look at him bringing Peter Thiel on his election campaign, an openly gay billionaire who has $75 million dollars invested in the MJ business. I'm sure if he was SOOOO for retaliation and weed to be one of them, Theil would have run out and probably tweeted about it.
