Gayed Guesses... I Listen to the Markets.

Rather than quessing if Trump will be inflationary/deflationary or both, I'll listen to the markets and act accordingly.

Right now the markets are saying inflation, but certainly not screaming it with the inflation trend being positive, but with the positive value declining. So from this one could either go with the short term indicating deflation or the longer term inflation.

I'll stick with the longer term which gives a perfect historical read and less whipsawing. Jesse always said the hardest part of 'be right, and sit tight' was the sitting.

Much of the late 1970s and early 80s saw sharply rising interest rates (well over 12%), lots of inflation and a rising stock market.

There's nothing unusual about it at all, and it can go on for a decade or more.
