across the entire Cuban country. meaning if you have a nasty neighbor who is part of that political operation and just does not like you , you can be tortured in prison for eons, even though you might of happened to have even supported Castro politically.
So its complicated all right:
are the apologists of Castro, people who have no memory of the actions Castro consequenced? Are they instead self styled humanist eager to balance Castro's attempt to annihilate the USA with wrongheaded equivalents like pointing out USA led offsets i.e. supporting apartheid, and other dictators, which Castro cynically opposed when it was convenient while at same time aligning himself with North Korea dictator.
He was as evil as Stalin and Mao but more crafty to sell his evil as a progressive movement. He gave education and health benefits but little freedom and less breakfast lunch and dinner. Thousands of Cubans more in the loop than us,drowned trying to flee. Yes very complicated.
