I can't rule out the possibility that this is all about propping up the share price while the CD holders dump millions of shares on the market. With a 50% discount to market they will make money but they want to make even more money.
Hard to believe those still buying shares are paying full market price. I guess they have not figured out that they could but at 50%, accumulate more shares that wouldn't be dumped and provide much needed funding to the company to boot. If I still believed in this company that is what I would be doing. Unfortunately, I don't still believe.
