That is gonna weaken the Government's mandamus. After all, they are arguing on one hand, that Sweeney's decision is faulty (which required them to turn over documents), but, on the other hand, her decision on Sammons is spot on.
The government lawyers are confused and acting like the guilty parties they are. Of course Sammons is a mole.
I was very surprised by this as well. Perhaps he was a govt mole and now they are pulling back with Trump on the horizon they dont want the exposure. Nothing else makes sense to me.
