Warrants' usefulness now is as negotiating leverage. Other side (our side) could push to call the gvt's bluff on warrants and say they are void. Might work, might not. That's assuming warrants' validity is decided in settlement talks. Courts could make that discussion moot. The other conflicts will be between these elements and interests: Trump's desire to resolve this quickly or not, various court cases, plaintiffs' and current admin's desire to settle before Trump takes office, Obama admin's desire to either RRR or not before Jan 20, Trump's ideas for a future housing finance system versus congress's ideas for that versus the timing of all the above.
