Excellent plan. Options are lower risk, higher reward, often misunderstood method. Looks like you are following jugs favorites and profiting. Do you ever buy puts to hedge? My professional big money manager friend is always telling me about "the only way to play the market". He is of the camp that we should stay in cash and risks should be minimized by using options. I see where the best plays seem to take advantage of the spreads and create a guaranteed result using both puts and calls.

I don't yet have options in my arsenal but I will soon evolve from being a buy and hold long term energy investor. Change is the only certainty, so I will embrace it as I keep learning.

It has worked very well being in MLP's mostly and a few REITS. My theory is that the rules protect me, both have 90% going to the investors. I watch their yield, coverage ratio, and dividend history along with their cap ex style of growth.

I don't often trade C corp stocks. The ridiculous pay of insiders and all the cronyism of boards is a problem. How much is enough when two local CEO's here, one in banking and the other in health insurance pay themselves 150 million dollar bonuses each year? How many private caribbean island do they need?

I hope Glass-Steagall is reinstated. I watched big banking along with QE allow theft of investor capital in conflict of interest deals driven by easy money from the fed. Just a small part of the smell from the swamp.
