Why hasn't Unified Patents PR'd their loss yet, man I don't know how anyone could tolerate such deliberate disregard for their own membership in keeping them up to date with such important development's.

I would imagine that breaking the news to its members is the last thing the folks at Unified Patents want to do but c'est la vie.

I love how every single one of Unified's claims (80+ of them in total!) were denied by the PTAB. This speaks volumes as to how strong of a preliminary response VPLM submitted. VPLM covered its bases well. Kudos to the legal team at VPLM.

The petitioner, Unified Patents, is an entity that protects various technology sectors of its members by challenging the validity of patents. It uses subscription fees paid by its members (Google is a founding member!) to file post-grant proceedings on behalf of its membership. Unified Patents is not involved in any litigation with patent owners. I am sure the PTAB took this into consideration before making a decision.

Now....

While Unified does not negotiate directly a license for money it certainly will now give its membership companies a strong recommendation to take a license or acquire the IP as not doing so would prove to be a detriment.

So....

How long until an offer from one of Unified's membership companies gets put on the table?

tick tock...tick tock...
