I agree, but let's hope some more patients/prescribers jump on the train. Aside from the "hassle factor" of going back for numerous injections, there is the "addiction factor." Sheldon said it well earlier this week:


“We have heard of people who use Probuphine to protect them from their future selves,” Sheldon said. “They might think, ‘Right now I’m really determined to not use, but in three days I might slip up. It’s easier if I had to make the choice to take the medicine to not take it.’ There are people who use this medication who like that idea.”

I read somewhere recently that over 50% of buprenorphine oral prescriptions are for 30 days or less and are never renewed. That is the type of data Braeburn needs to get in front of both the patient and prescriber. In their moments of clarity, an addict realizes how fragile his or her recovery is, and I believe will see the logic in an implant.

Speaking of Braeburn...anyone have any idea when this 60 person sales force is going to come into play. We need the cavalry right now!
