I agree. Nothing new about the recent mania for pot stocks. There are perhaps a few hundred, including Canadian OTC issues, that are somehow linked to cannabis. The profits made in this industry, if you can call it that, are made by private enterprise. I would include the smugglers, distributors, importers, street corner pushers in that grouping because most consumption in the US is purchased on the black market.
There are profitable testing labs that can easily convert to testing cannabis products. Nothing particularly special about it. Some are large diverse public stock corporations. Others are private.
It's only matter of time until large US public stock corporations quietly, discreetly, at the onset, capture increasing share of the consumer market for cannabis. They have access to greater sources of capital, manpower, expertise compared to these basically one or two owner OTC issues.
Lets don't even consider the huge trading floats.
Overvalued by about at least 90 percent in most cases.
Rationality will soon return and these OTC issues will revert back to the mean.
