No, I think that they will not likely be profitable this current year, but could be profitable for a quarter or two this year based on year over year double digit growth. I believe that they will be profitable all of next year - which happens to end about 20 months from now.

You are mixing your trials. They said they cannot submit the current results without another trial. Then the guy who laughed said that another fast track trial would take less patients and be much quicker than you think. Sounded promising to me, but not the main reason for my investment.
Once they are finished with the AVID III capex, they could be cash flow break even (particularly with some modest belt tightening in R&D and non-Avid S&A).
And if they can get to that point, they could tap grown-up sources for cash as needed.
I do think they need some more cash to get through this winter (and build Avid III) while maintaining a safety net. But if they can get their act together, that might finally be the end of the ATM.
