You lost.all your money not.most of your money....
If you surrendered your shares to your brokerage to close the trade they would not have paid you anything for them, so lets be clear all your money was lost.
That's what happens in trading sometimes, a good, realistic trader that takes risks will know this possibility does exists.
A good trader will also take preventive measures in order to reduce such an event from happening.
Some traders like Houser and Young in Ovalle's crappy Barnett/OOAG/Carceres article just sat on there greedy hands watching OOAG tank and did nothing proactive to stop there losses. Those two were not traders, they were just greedy.
