People hear the word "needle" or "injection" and they automatically think a flu shot or inserting a needle to start an I.V.. The auto injector (pen) that PTN uses delivers the dose subcutaneously. For the non-medical folks, that means just below the skin's surface at a depth of 4-8mm (0.15"-0.2"). Not in a muscle or in a vessel... just into the fat below the skin's surface. In addition, it's not administered in a sensitive area (like finger tips for instance) but the belly or thigh i.e., very little nerve endings. (Ask a diabetic about their daily administration of insulin into the belly). Adam's 8 inch needle portrayal is typical of ignorant chowderheads who like to spout off about topics they know little about imo.
