Oregon California Nevada are the leaders in mandatory independent lab testing. Colorado and Washington are a mess. The Colorado law was terribly written and by the time they figured it out.... The cultivators were making money "donating" to politicians to not implement testing. Which is why there are regular mass product recalls of pesticide laced edibles there.
Washington is another joke of a jurisdiction where the inmates are running the asylum. Toothless regulation. Major labs have put out PR stating they were ready to shut down and leave the state because of the rampant pay for play occurring. Don't like the potency result from one lab?! Go to the next one!! Whoops. Double the thc count there. There are labs where you can guarantee to never fail a mold of pesticide test in Washington. It's a fucking joke.
And the worst culprits are the dirty hippie old school cultivators. Basically people who were drug dealers 5 years ago. They all wear their dirty hippie lifestyle of "medicine" and "patients" brah! But in reality they are just dirty hippie criminals at heart. Having operated in the black market for so long there arrogance of never paying taxes or never being told how to cultivate responsibly doesn't matter to them.
Does it get you high! Is the only question these criminals feel is important to answer. Anything resembling taxes, regulation, safety is "corporate" brah!
Colorado and Washington are class action lawsuits waiting to happen. Expect all new rec and legal states to follow Nevada Oregon and California models of batch testing by independent labs.
