I think "under 18" should have been included as a choice. ( :

That's no joke actually, I NEVER give my age and believe no one should so we can break out of the limiting expectations of age in W. culture: WHY is that what's most important here? So advertisers can market depends, middle-aged-crisis cars ("remember, middle age starts at 90")or to younger gamers? M/F maybe some relevance...
what about asking how many hours/week PPL spend researching stocks, whatever -- READ THIS, listen to this guy's podcasts, stay ageless:

- Cultural portals: We’re constantly fed how we’re supposed to behave at a certain age. The cultural chorus of misery goes something like this: “No kids at 35? You better freeze your eggs.” “It’s all downhill from 50 onward. And dress appropriately, you’re not a young chick anymore.” “You’re 65, go retire. We don’t really need you anymore.” Sound any of this familiar? You bet. And it’s time to change that. In order to thrive, it’s vital to opt out of the man-made cultural portals. My two cents: Once you stop perpetuating those portals, you’ll birth a new archetype, homo independus happiensis.
Now isn't that a nice auto-description? Who cares if no one knows what it means -- tell 'em about this philosophy.
Youthful centenarians NEVER give their age -- until maybe they turn 99 and then who cares. "Remember, middle age starts at 90."

NOT WHAT U WANTED SHELLY but this is how I do these kinds of surveys, sorry. No wait, I'm not, no false humility here -- read above. :)

Seriously, IMO if this is about advertising: INTERESTS, that's how I make friends and identify with people --market to people's INTERESTS,
On this board, I find some of the nicest people to be older 60+, which makes sense b/c they have time on their hands. Maybe some money but quite a few seem to need to make more money for their retirement and it's a fun way to do it and be social.

I only know their age b/c they post it or volunteer it privately or it comes up in their posts. Some are in terrible shape for their age by my standards but we're not promoting athletic gear here. Well, they could use some national gym memberships or home fitness subscriptions. JMO.
