When you release the nozzle the valve closes.

Pretty sure he was talking about the material that is left in the nozzle. Did it get rinsed out and sterilized before the next use? Is the date on the can dependable? It is a sticker after all!

So the "PERISHABLE: KEEP REFRIGERATED" Warning doesn't apply unless the nozzle is held open?
