I expect that the need for using some other stimulating wavelengths to check pills led to CDEX shelving the pill finder. It could be that they would TOO obviously infringe if they did try other wavelengths.
Sticking with UV..they are stuck with liquids. But the design of the machine is more simple.. and easier to build, easier to "signature"..possibly cheaper. Less sophisticated. More in line with the expertise of their "scientists"..
...Who have a pretty sorry record when it comes to designing and engineering something that will sell...obviously.. since Valimed is the only one that has sold anything.
A good business plan, I think, even though it limits the market. They cannot compete with ASD, anyway. Ain't got the money nor the staff to do that.
