The spirometer is just slightly bigger then the technosphere device and all you do is blow into as long as you can with one breathe. It literally takes less then a minute, so I have never understood what was the big deal with this test. Its like having a whistle in your mouth and blowing into it as long as possible with one breathe. Its a nothing test and I have done it myself.
This being an obstacle is a joke and not a big deal as people are making it sound like you have to go in for some special testing that needs to take a half hour or more. If MNKD was smart they would have bought 100 of them and handed them to any doctor who was willing to prescribe Afrezza. It would have cost them $30,000 by buying in bulk and I'm sure some doctors already had them in their office because its used for many different conditions. A doctor that does a thorough physical with a patient sometimes includes this as part of a yearly physical like mine does in order to check your lung capacity.
