It is a complicated issue. In Toronto they raided dispensaries (that was provincial government not federal).
Most are operating illegally, have connections to organized crime and there are quality issues. One dispensary in Toronto blew up recently.
Trudeau promised legalization, not a free for all. A regulatory regime that legalizes but with quality control (ie licensed producers) makes sense from my perspective. The other advantage is stocks of LPs would rise dramatically.
