I find that academic types like Ntephe usually fail miserably in the real world. I don't know what Odobulu's excuse is. But if I were there during the Stanford fiasco, the catastrophic disclosure issues, the IRS debacle and the convertible debt disaster, I would at least be smart enough to realize that accounting and finance was not my cup of tea.
