They say the Quran forbids Muslims to swear allegiance to the U.S. Constitution.

No, really, what does the Quran actually say?

Given that the Quran was written in the 7th century, I find it a little hard to believe that it "forbids Muslims to swear allegiance to the U.S. Constitution."

I realize that it may say something from which that interpretation is derived, but WHAT exactly is that?

BTW, the Quran can be quoted just like the Bible: book, chapter, verse. Lacking that citation, your statement is unsubstantiated and therefore questionable.

They say the Quran forbids Muslims to swear allegiance to the U.S. Constitution. I don't know of any other religion that does that.

The Koran, like the Bible, can be interpreted in many ways.

But I believe Jehovah's Witnesses and members of several other religious groups aren't supposed to swear any oath except to God.

you avoid answering the statement many politicians state publicly including the statement: For God, Country, and Family - stated in that order so what do you think that means? Most religions (because I'm not familiar with all) state that they should be loyal to god first and foremost. Of course if you would like to showcase more ignorance please keep posting.

JimLur, many who see themselves as Muslim don't pray, many Christians don't either.

Would you deny to those their right to believe they belong to their religion?
