Heh, good question, and thought, both missed this end.. lol .. so i went on a scavenger hunt, and it wasn't easy .. anyway here's what i ended up
with .. was going to pm it to myself for tomorrow, but might as well shoot it out for youse now .. lol, can hardly see it, so hope it passes muster.

Actually there are at least two Christian schools in Australia with Shalom (meaning? peace, wholeness security... in the grace of God,
i guess all of you guys knew before i did) .. in their name .. the one in Townsville in the Northern Territory mentioned in .. that article
.. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=125945478 .. of the Uniting Church

Shalom Christian College - Townsville Education
http://www.shalomcollege.qld.edu.au/

.. and .. Shalom Catholic College .. a Catholic school in Bundaberg, Queensland
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shalom_Catholic_College

I was thinking maybe something to do with cross-fertilization .. you know the working together of at least some
of the Western religions in the battle for recruits against Islam, but looks that was sort of an ignorant guess
.. heh, damned (must be Satan at work) if i could find a better reason why until i snagged this one ..

Understanding the Dynamic of Partnership between Christian Schools in Africa and the West

[...]

Act 3: Africa Needs an Education of “Shalom”

Shalom is described as a state where people live in right relationship with God, themselves, each other, and nature. In a community of shalom, all the members have a full and secure place. It embraces all its members, and uses truth, reconciliation, and forgiveness as vehicles of justice and peace.

Christian education that seeks shalom can serve to bring solutions to Africa’s problems and issues. It must take advantage of African ways of knowing as we counteract the colonial impulse to elevate the Western cultural inheritance over others. We need Christian education that guides students how to make a life as well as a living, to be critical of the status quo, and to be wise and discerning, as well as proficient. This is an education that honors Christ’s lordship over all of creation and over all the realms of thought and action.

Our educational institutions must become effective learning centers, places that teach and model the living, breathing gospel of Jesus Christ. We are called to build relationships that transform people and, ultimately, transform culture and society. We can start to do this by addressing three core questions in our Christian education, first articulated by Bennie van der Walt.

School upsets NT Govt over recruitment drive
Reporter: Murray McLaughlin

which really doesn't read in the full Christian spirit, but you know .. so much is about recruits even though others are hurt along the way .. don't mean
to be all negative as they obviously give many some better opportunity, but the 'we don't do it' recruitment drive in that one is pretty rough in places ..
