BuyVolume 50%, SellVolume 45% & PTN tanks 9%???

I need someone smarter than me to explain how this happens. On 10/19/16 slapping the PTN Ask was 541,675 shares(50.1%), Bid transactions were 490,000(45.3%) & 49,690 shares(4.6%) exchanged hands in between. The FINRA short info for the day was 36% which continues to be on the "low" side compared to other biotechs.

I could understand a small loss with this kind of supply/demand ratio but not a 9% beatdown. It's trading action like this, IMO, that lend credence to the MM manipulation theories.

As always, interested in other opinions. GLTL
