#52717 RE: trevorbc #52716

If I am not mistaken QMC simply claimed they have cad-free and I am not disputing it. But it was not 100% cad-free but RoHS compliant only just like Hyperion of Nanosys. As a business entity it can claim anything but as a responsible distributor KISCO had to go littler further on technicals hence they did not simply mention cad-free rather they said RoHS compliant cadmium-free quantum dots in their QMC intro. There was no reason to mention RoHs if there was no cadmium at all right?

IMO, if you bring these 2 pieces together i.e 100% cad-free + continuous flow chemistry then it can qualify recent Sri claim of

"What we have been attempting to do hasn’t been done before; we are inventing an entirely new product with a new, scalable manufacturing process."

UKI also proudly introduces Quantum Materials Corp (QMC), developer of an industry-first continuous-flow manufacturing process for quantum dots and semiconductor nanocrystals. QMC manufactures both cadmium-based and the RoHS compliant cadmium-free quantum dots. QMC’s new high-heat resistant QDXTM Quantum Dots resist degradation and are designed to meet large-scale industry needs for stable and uniform nanocrystals in the display, electronics, and solid-state lighting markets.
