Forget the politics side but ask yourself are we better off today?
Than what?
What do most people fear in this country Isis or the IRS.
The IRS, of course. That has not changed.
Has government
regulated business to death, raised taxes so much that large corporations
have left the country?
No. Those large corporations can avail themselves of many, many loopholes that keep their taxes low. I would, however, favor giving a tax break to small businesses; they don't qualify for those loopholes. As for "regulation" generally, I spend much of my time following securities scams, and I know how necessary they are where Wall Street's concerned. And I appreciate agencies like the EPA and the FDA; they help keep us all safe.
Who has more rights today you or a minority who
objects to your beliefs?
No one in this country has the right to impose his or her beliefs on anyone else.
Do we have more illegal immigrants than ever, do we have cities
that allow illegals be protected?
No, we do not have more illegal immigrants than ever. Yes, we do have sanctuary cities.
Do we have crime in these cities
higher than ever?
No.
Do we have more people on food stamps today than
ever?
No.
