10a-dave, OSI being there sounds interesting. BTW, They also had a "Protest" from Smiths after they won a Rapiscan contract in 2013. No love loss there.
Both Smiths(+M) and OSI would need a Vortex type collection method and Flash type analysis with rapid 'cleardown' times to make their Xray scan systems into a viable combined Xray-Trace detection "tunnel" type system. L3 has the same needs. Both technologies are covered by several ISC patents.
We know the reputation S/M has with TSA now. We know the lengths "M" hacker/traders/shills/'protesters' went to delaying/disrupting us (and OSI?) and their obvious success against us/ISC. Kind of expected S+M to want being spoilers and bump the price/delay/disrupt
