But let's not argue the point. What difference does it make how either company delivers performance as long as they deliver? The only real question is who can make money?
Product performance does have an influence on profitability. But let me talk about something else:
One thing I find curious (and I don't need to pick on you personally, it is a common theme of Intel favorable posters). And it is that when Intel has a huge financial loser, such as Itanium that has so far been one of the biggest, if not THE biggest financial bomb in history of semiconductros, it is ok to still argue its technical merit. But in case of AMD products, if they are not profitable, no technical merit is relevant, and the only relevant question is if they can make money.
Don't you think it is a little inconsistent?
