The man I was with when I first moved to Manhattan was a Vietnam Vet... 26 months there. Bob Hope was on TV. I wanted to change the channel... too hokey for me. He refused.

He adored Mr. Hope. Said that his performances over in Vietnam meant a great deal to him when he was fighting there.

Opened my eyes to Bob Hope's greatness.
