I haven't read that deeply into the laws, but I would assume that retail shops, growers, etc are not allowed to test their own product. Same reason builders are required to have 3rd party inspections to ensure they are up to code. Very good point KWK... BTW how'd you hold up in the storm? Looks like the Orlando area caught a break.
Most large companies test their own products. Regulations reguire money hence we now drink bottled water, are ok with ecoli outbreaks, seem fine with the reemergence of polio and TB, and absolutely love it when the Chinese kill our dogs. We hate big 'Govment' so self testing is what we do these days because we trust business more than we trust our government. We keep on and we will be self testing for pregnancy - oh, wait we are!! Some day "Idiocracy" will be a documentary rather than a movie.
