If I may, owning a share in Amazon is the same as owning 100 shares in an equivalently growing company that is priced at $8 a share.
In my opinion it's a numbers game that plays with one's head. The argument against my thought is that if Amazon were to split, say, 4 for 1, psychologically more players could get into the game, which, may drive the price up faster than if the price were to remain at $800. 8 for 1 would make it even more interesting.
