Barrick is a member of the world gold council. You remember, the lying collaborators that consistently under-report demand and are essentially an extension of the manipulative gold cartel. I wouldn't own stock in ANY of them. I boycott those SOB's at every opportunity.

It's no surprise they are hedging their own production in a rising gold environment. They aren't in it to make money, they are in it to suppress the gold price at the behest of their masters.
